Pledge Anchor

Together we can accomplish what is impossible alone

The HTC Pledge
“If your child is the only one who’s not using social media but everyone else in their school is, it’s a tough position for your child to be in.  But if parents can band together and say, as a group, we’re not going to allow our kids to use social media until 16 or 17 or 18 or whatever the age is they choose, that’s a much more effective strategy, making sure your kids don’t get exposed to harm early.”

US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy

I will protect my child(ren) from the dangers of social media and smartphones.

I know this is challenging and requires support.

Fortunately, I have resources to help me fulfill my pledge.  These resources include educational materials, unplugging initiatives and tools to navigate screen time, smartphone alternatives that still keep us connected to our children, adventure learning ideas to bring out the best in our kids, and links to other organizations that promote research, advocacy and provide practical support.

I pledge to

Thank you for taking the pledge!
